As we were walking through the Air and Space Museum I heard a kid say “they shouldn’t being doing that now. They should be doing it at night when we can’t see them doing it!” he was really indignant.
We thought it was great because we got to see that this amazing model was so simple to put together. With rolls of gold and silver foil, wire, sticks, black paint and glue we could make one too!
Is anyone at BSPS up for the challenge? After all aren’t we are all studying stars and space and things like that next term or the term after.

Surveyors, engineers, architects, electricians, men in yellow coats some wearing hard hats were gathering in our playground the other day. All this activity is a sign that the building of our new Hall, Canteen and COLA is about to get underway.

The back paddock of our school became a campsite today. The fire was lit and as flames became glowing embers S3E began entertaining each other with the stories, plays and dances they had been working on during the past few weeks of exploring aboriginal culture.
All got dressed up . . . of course.
Damper and honey were cooked on the campfire.
Smoke got in our eyes and our damper was hard to cook!
But hey what a great way to learn and share what you’ve created and learned.

What is golden time you ask?
It is a time when you can enjoy a relaxing end of the week doing something you really, really like doing!
Does everyone in the school have Golden Time?
All those students in the school who have worked well and behaved appropriately in the week get to have Golden Time.
When is Golden Time? Usually Friday afternoon.
Is there any special event that can happen in Golden Time?
Oh yes! The Class of the Week gets to use the DS Lites and all the games we have to go with them.
Teachers and their students can negotiate special rewards like playing extra sport, using the Wii’s, doing some special artwork anything really.
The only thing to remember is if you want to be in Golden Time you have to be well behaved, work hard and not muck about.
Are there other schools in the world who have Golden Time or something like it?
