On Monday the 23rd of June S3Fluorite attended the reverse garbage workshop in our new hall.

We met Brooke and she told us all about how to reuse stuff that was going to be thrown out into the bin.

She told us about the reverse garbage centre and how they save rubbish from going to the landfill (the place they take rubbish to).

Then it was the creating time! First she explained what we were making how to do it. Brooke gave us some safety tips for example, when you poke the hole put the reused stress ball on the ground.

We were making a scarecrow! We used some reused fabrics, ribbons, buttons, chop sticks, pipe cleaners, wires and hessian (a sack fabric).

First we tied the two chop sticks together with pipe cleaners or wires( so they looked like a cross), then we poked a hole in a stress ball  and put it on the chop sticks, we got some fabric and put it over the stress ball ,we tied the ribbon at the bottom of the fabric to hold it in place, then we got some hessian and cut a whole to fit over the head and it made a dress, we tied the middle to make it firm, we poked more holes in the head then put ribbon and poked it into the head to make hair.

We had fun!!!!!
