First Cook in for the year was a huge success!!!

On Monday the 20th of February parents gathered together to share with Mrs Fanggidae in the cooking of a delicious chocolate mousse. It was great to see new parents attend as well. What a nice morning we had chatting away and catching up.

The next cook in will be on Monday the 19th of March please save the date and come along!

A Great year of cooking!!!

The last parent ‘cook in’ for the year was held on Monday 28 Nov.
There were 3 yummy dishes shared. A spinach dip, cheese triangles and creme caramel. All great dishes to share for the festive season. KHenri came along and enjoyed tasting some of the food.
Certificates of appreciation were handed out to parents who helped with the cooking. A BIG thank you for all involved.
Hope to see you all and many more next year, for what is sure to be a great cooking success.

 

S3Gaudi learn all about the secret to Mrs Penman’s Apple Pie

On Monday stage 3, some parents and teachers learnt all about Mrs Penman’s home made Apple Pie. The students, parents and teachers shared cooking stories and discussed adventures in the kitchen. The stage 3 students all left wanting to do more cooking at home with their families. What a great morning it was. A special thank you to Mrs Penman for sharing her passion for cooking with us.

Parents, students and teachers cooking together….

On Monday 24th of October the wonderful kindergarten class KMiro joined parents and teachers at the “cook in”.
They enjoyed helping Miss Wilson make delicious Dumplings and Mrs Napaa make a yummy Pavlova.
They learnt more about healthy eating and discussed the importance of always cooking with an adult.
A fun time was had by all.

The next “Cook in” is on Monday the 28th of November at 9.15 in the school hall.

Spring Rolls and Banana Bread Yum, Yum, Yum

The parent club were busy making over 150 spring rolls to share on Multicultural Day next Thursday 22nd September. After all that hard work they enjoyed a nice cuppa and some lovely warm banana bread. 

Thanks to all parents who came and helped on the day, it really was a productive and enjoyable morning.

Asian and Turkish a delicious fusion of cultures…

On Monday parents and teachers shared some more yummy recipes. We had a fresh Asian savoury San Chow Bow and a sweet Turkish Semolina Pudding sensation.
We shared ideas on how to get kids invoved in cooking and Mrs Klose shared some great tips for ‘hiding’ veggies in food to make it so much better for us.
It was fantastic to see so many new parents come and join in the fun!!!

Parent Club Cooking At BSPS

Parents and staff cooked Islander style food at school today… delicious savoury and sweet sensations!
